Charming historical atmosphere with lovely vintage decor. The noise from nearby nightlife was disruptive throughout the night. Good happy hour at the bar was a nice touch.

The antique decor gives this place a unique charm, and the complimentary happy hour drinks are a nice touch. But the walls are really thin, so noise from neighbors can be disruptive.

The room was huge and offered a spacious sitting area, workspace, and kitchenette. I enjoyed opening the French doors to a small balcony for fresh air. The king bed was very comfortable, ideal for a restful night. Two ceiling fans and air conditioning ensured a pleasant temperature on a 100-degree day. Noise from the hallway was noticeable, and the lighting could definitely benefit from softer options. Despite a few minor issues, like a leaky faucet and rattling bathroom fan, the overall comfort of the room made for an enjoyable stay.

Horton Grand Hotel offers a delightful stay in the Gaslamp district, surrounded by fantastic restaurants and nightlife. The spacious premier suite, complete with a Nespresso machine, was a highlight. The valets and front desk staff were exceptionally helpful, making our visit enjoyable despite minor noise and housekeeping issues.

Charming hotel with a great location right by the hop-on-hop-off bus stop. The spacious room had a cozy, vintage feel and a welcoming staff, though there was an initial musty smell that faded quickly. Comfortable bed, but a bit soft for my taste. The quirky decor, like a paper mache horse in the lobby, added character. Noticing some noise from above made it tough to sleep, and the kitchenette could use better supplies. Valet service was pricey, but convenient. I'd return for the ambiance and helpful staff, despite a few quirks.

Decent location with easy access to vibrant dining options and the tram line. The king suite offered a cozy atmosphere with comfortable beds and a nice little sitting area. Appreciated the mini fridge and a solid bar downstairs. The room was generally quiet, but it had an unpleasant odor from the AC, making it hard to ignore. Disappointing balcony size; it barely accommodated one person and overlooked a noisy bar. Service could use refinement—rude staff and limited hours at the bar and restaurant. Cleanliness fell short, with noticeable issues throughout the room. Attention to detail matters. Small adjustments could elevate the experience significantly.

The historic decor adds charm to the atmosphere. The staff are super friendly and quick to help. Access to local restaurants is a huge plus.
WiFi is slower than a turtle on vacation.

Walking in felt like stepping into a beautiful, nostalgic world. The cozy beds and clean facilities made for the perfect retreat. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the bar's exceptional meat and cheese board was a delightful treat!
Would definitely recommend! ❤️😍

My recent stay was frustrating—the bathroom was cramped with minimal counter space. The king bed felt more like a queen, and the mattress sagged. I couldn’t get comfortable! Plus, loud noises from the room above kept me up all night.

My squad had a blast hitting up the Gaslamp Quarter and America's Finest City on the trolley tours. The Wi-Fi was clutch for sharing all our dope pics online. Plus, the historic vibes and cool ghost tour were lit!
Wish they had more turnt-up nightlife options within the hotel for us party animals.

The beach access is fantastic and the hotel has a great dining area with plenty of options. Housekeeping was on point, always tidy and kept our room stocked with fresh towels.
It wasn’t exactly a bargain but you get what you pay for.

During my xmas stay, I had a great time at the hotel in a premier suite that was HUGE and well, equipped with a Nespresso machine, saving us money on daily coffee. The valets were super helpful with city tips, and the bar staff was top, notch. The hotel's location in the Gaslamp quarter was convenient, surrounded by many restaurants and lively bars.
The water pressure in the shower and wash hand basin was a bit low and the in, room coffee wasn't the best. Unfortunately, the cleanliness in the bathroom fell short as we found some stray hairs.

First off, the location of the hotel was fantastic. It was super convenient, and the historical charm of the building added a unique touch to the experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially when we had to extend our stay due to unexpected circumstances. They truly went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. On the downside, our room overlooked a noisy street, and the thin windows didn't help much in keeping the noise out. It made getting a good night's sleep a bit challenging, especially with the late-night parties going on nearby. The amenities like the bar and restaurant were decent, but a few things could be improved. The valet parking experience left me a bit unsettled after noticing that my car had been rummaged through. Although nothing was missing, it still wasn't a pleasant feeling. Horton Grand Hotel has its charm with its historical vibe and friendly staff. noise levels and certain amenities could use some tweaking.

Located at the edge of the Gaslamp Quarter, the hotel is nestled in a charming old building. The room was spacious, clean, and featured a lovely fireplace. The valet parking service was efficient, and the staff at the hotel and bar were friendly and helpful.
The lack of daily housekeeping was a letdown, especially during a three-night stay. The noise from the street and hotel disturbed the tranquility of the night.

Just 4 blocks from the home of the San Diego Padres, our family enjoyed convenient access to the baseball games and vibrant Gaslamp Quarter festivities. The Wi-Fi allowed us to easily plan our visits to America's Finest City attractions while relaxing in the comfortable and spacious room.
In my wife's opinion, adding more kid-friendly activities would enhance family stays.

I like staring at the naval aircraft, dancing at Salt & Whiskey, and getting stranded at the San Diego beaches.
Oh, joy! Trying to nap peacefully in this quiet neighborhood was quite the challenge.

beautiful hotel, great location. loved the rooms very much, had to change rooms because our bathtub was broken, but were given another room, which was very nice and had a balcony overlooking the courtyard. reception staff was friendly, cleaning staff was also very friendly and overall had a great stay. definitely stay here again.
Nothing could have been better! 😊
